What exactly is Kratom?
If you’ve never heard of Kratom then it’s time to find out.
This powerful Asian derivative has gained worldwide attention as a natural alternative to synthetic pain medications. It is legal in more than 20 countries across the world and comes from the root or stem of the Barberry tree. Traditionally, it has been used by the Thai people as a treatment for arthritis and other joint ailments.
Now you can, too, find the stimulating benefits of kratom. You may have seen various names referring to this unique varieties, which is totally too mystifying. Luckily, most vendors tend to just confuse the consumers by re-branding old strains with new names.
Even so, you can tell the distinction between the normal kratom and the Kratom powder through the distinctive stalks. The leaves are short and fibrous, while the root or stem consists of long, thick stalks. Kratom powder, being an extract rather than a tea, is more diluted and doesn’t actually taste much like kratom.
When you do your research, you will learn that kratom comes in several different strains. Some kratom is grown primarily in Thailand, but there are others grown in other countries as well including India, Mexico, and Germany.
While the main strain is Thai, you’ll also come across red, blue and green strains. All three come from the same plant, the barberry.
The most common kratom strains include the red, white and the Green malay Kratom strains. Each one is used for slightly different things. For example, the red kratom is known for its pain relief, as well as the anxiety relief. The White Kratom has been known to relieve both the anxiety and the pain, though it does take slightly longer to produce these effects.
Finally, the green kratom strains are known for their anti-aging effects.
Now that we know all about the kratom strains, it’s time to talk about the kratom colors.
There has been ongoing debate as to whether the red, white and green kratom strains have different chemical compositions. Some people claim that the differences are insignificant, while others say that they are undeniable. In truth, the ongoing debate is not about the chemical composition, but rather about the way that the kratom is delivered.
Some people prefer the lighter, softer kratom that comes in the form of a powder

This powder is easier to break down and absorbs quickly into the body. This form of kratom has a lower concentration of the alkaloid, so some users do experience a bit of a hangover the first day.
However, some users swear by the lighter kratom strain and say that there is no difference between the two. It’s really a matter of personal preference. To get the most out of your kratom experience, it’s best to experiment with the different kratom strains to see which one works best for you.
One of the lesser known kratom strains is borneo kratom. Some people call it Chlamydia, but it’s most commonly referred to as borneo kratom due to its leaf like appearance. The leaves of this kratom strain have a mild earthy flavor with a slight hint of garlic. Many consumers have described the kratom taste as tasting like sweet cactus or grass.
The kratom drying method is slightly more complicated than just putting the kratom leaves in a bowl of hot water.
The reason for this is that the kratom must be dried in an air-tight container to prevent any type of mold or fungus from growing on the leaves.
This process can take a few hours, depending on how much kratom is being used and how dry the leaves are.
Once the kratom has been placed in an air-tight container, it should be kept in a dark place out of the sun to preserve the alkaloid content of the kratom.
